Of course. wp379 03 tower of jewels 20220502 copy
Plants may not talk to us directly wp379 04 yellow fuzzies 20220502 copy
but their colors and shapes trigger an emotional response within us. wp379 05 2 rhodie, red daisy 20220502 copy

or soothed by the cool greenness of tender foliage? wp379 07 fruit blossoms 20220502 copy
When I see a fruit tree blossom I feel the promise of something ripe and edible forming in the near future. wp379 08 2 purple, wisteria 20220502 copy

Precipice

wp167 ice w cliffBeing on a precipice is both thrilling and frightening.

wp167 2 yellow vistasPlants don’t seem to mind. They cover cliffs with color.

wp167 yellow, blue fleursSome lay low; others stand tall, peeking at what’s below.

wp167 2 poppy, irisIris form little colonies where they can whisper amongst themselves.

wp167 2 poppiesPoppies like to mix it up with grasses, mallows and other flora.

wp167 2 squirrel, pidgeonsFor many years I prominently displayed a small collage I created to express my current stage of life. It depicted a bird poised on a cliff—constantly peering over the edge, but never taking wing.

wp167 2 ice plantsI’ve finally soared and landed—only to find myself living on a precipice. Perhaps the thrill is worth the fright.
