Living Room

wp427 01 octopus table 20230424 1200Living room. Hmm… wp427 02 monkey, fish 20230424 1200
A room that’s for living? wp427 03 woodman 20230407 1200
A room that’s alive? wp427 04 2 stone w Nagi shoe 1200
Our living room is both: wp427 05 frog w eggs 20230409 1200
a place we hang out together, wp427 06 moth, knife 20230424 1200
a place where objects are alive with memories of their own lives. wp427 07 bird, teeth 20230424 1200
The God in which I believe is also known as “The Living God,” wp427 08 tooth, pipe 20230424 1200
even though unseen, wp427 09 basket, album 20230424 1200
even though, by many, unfelt. wp427 10 2 antlers, world 1200
God’s existence is often put to question, and although I understand why, this has not been part of my spiritual journey. wp427 11 2 vases 1200
For me, God is like my living room: wp427 12 2 skull, urn 1200
a place where I want to spend time, wp427 13 2 rattle w Nagi shoe 1200
a place where I am more alive, wp427 14 feather balls 20230424 1200
a place that can always embrace one more…

Mishmash Aesthetic

wp260 01 office west 20190820My feet are once again forbidden from hiking, so here I am, in my office. I look to the left

wp260 02 office east 20190820then to the right. I’ve had a mishmash aesthetic as long as I can remember.

wp260 03 shower curtain 20190807The owners of a motel I stayed in recently had the same idea.

wp260 04 art in tree 20190807I’m drawn to strange art. I came across this along a stairway in the woods.

wp260 05 lichen 20190806I like lichen. It’s nature’s way of decorating rocks.

wp260 06 2 fliesAnd flies. Say what you like about flies, but they are fascinating from a color and design perspective.

wp260 07 leaves over cave 20190806Plants are fantastic: from leaf

wp260 08 seed head whorl 20190808to seed.

wp260 09 waterfall 20190806And don’t get me started about water: gorgeous! From its frothing falls

wp260 10 still pool in rock 20190806to its still pools

wp260 11 dark rain cloud 20190807to its inception in the clouds.

wp260 12 2 bowling ballsI enjoy human-made objects, too. After all, I’m an artist. I can see beauty in decrepit bowling balls.

wp260 13 cash register 20190807Or ornate cash registers.

wp260 14 chair uphostery 20190820It’s all in how you see. Eyes of love and creativity give everything a lift. Practice seeing anew. Look to your left. Then to your right. What do you see now?
