I thought I found a natural peace sign on the beach made of seaweed, but later realized it was missing a tiny vertical bar, the missing piece of peace.
That’s how I often feel: close to peace, but not quite peaceful.
As I roamed the wet sand, beachcombing for interesting photographs
I wondered if it was possible for me to carry peace around with me like a shadow,
always there, but hidden when darkness falls.
How do I nurture peace?
Through solitude?
Devotion?
Love?
All these things?
Perhaps it is also appreciating what is right in front of me. The Now.
Whatever that may be.

One reply on “Close to Peace”
In John 14:27 of the Bible Jesus says to His disciples: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” These words apply to us as well if we accept Him as our Savior.
Thank You, Lord!!!!
